Dracaena draco captivates with its majestic, sculptural form and unique silhouette. This striking plant, often called the Dragon Tree, grows slowly into a broad canopy with thick branches that support clusters of sword-shaped leaves. Its trunk is stout and can become richly textured with age, revealing a rugged, ancient appearance. Native to the Canary Islands, the Dracaena draco is a botanical treasure admired for its resilience and ornamental appeal.

The Dracaena draco tree holds cultural significance as well as aesthetic value. It produces a distinctive red sap, known as "dragon's blood," that has been prized for centuries. The plant is recognized as a Macaronesian tree, endemic to a group of Atlantic islands including the Canaries. This Dragon Tree from Atlantic Islands thrives as an isolated island species, adapted to its unique environment with thick leaves that conserve moisture and a growth pattern that provides dramatic architectural interest in gardens and landscapes.

  • Produces vivid red sap called dragon's blood
  • Endemic to the Canary Islands and surrounding Macaronesian region

Perfect for End of School Year!
Format: Paperback
I purchased this book because I was chosen as the last mystery reader before summer break for my daughter’s class. The book was sweet, appropriate, and nostalgic. The kids and teacher really enjoyed!

Everyone Can Use A Little Assistance With Manners
Format: Hardcover
"Manners Can Be Fun" covers basics like introductions, please and thank you, being responsible in the home you live in and table manners. It's the illustrations, however, which get the point across and hit the reader over the head. No matter your age, the cute drawings really let one see what others experience when you behave badly. The basics of what's important in life are put into perspective and appreciated all over again. Playing, saying "hello" and so many other topics pertinent to etiquette and consideration are placed on Mr. Leaf's pages in quick, precise prose which encourage action. Munro Leaf's description of The Noisey's, The Pigs, Me First, Whineys, Smash, Rip, Ruin and others assist young and old of what to do around others and what not to do. It's basic, it's short and sweet, it's truly a classic. Like all classics, "Manners Can Be Fun" has not gone out of style. Many thanks to Universe Publishing for placing this wonderful book back on the shelves and into our hands.

A classic for the kids in your family.
Format: Hardcover
This is a classic book of manners written for youngsters. I had a copy a copy when I was a child, read it to my children, gave it to my grandchildren and purchased this copy for my great grandchildren. Necessary lessons are presented simply with illustrations one won’t forget. The lesson I remember most is this: “Be kind to animals. They have feelings too.” Most highly recommend.

Great message that the kids listen to
Format: Hardcover
I love the message and my kids (3 and 5) find it credible and engaging, so it's a win all around. I find the illustrations (which are either done by a 5 year old or an adult as talented an artist as I am) painful but I give the text 6 out of 5 stars so when I take a star off for the over-the-top illustrations we're still at 5/5 ;) Kids who have greater access to exclusively modern media with intense graphics may not be able to relate to the material: the graphics are a big hurdle and the text is pretty dated too. I'm sure an updated version would be even more engaging for my kids but what it lacks in exciting, current graphics it makes up for in specificity and clarity for my two.
